Students with advanced abilities will represent their level of achievement by preparing an art piece that demonstrates superior workmanship. Reflective piece may be dictated if a student has difficulty with written expression.
Comments/Recommendations:
- This task was designed for eighth-grade students. The author feels strongly that the maturity and skill level of eighth-grade is necessary for this task.
- Teacher may want to work with a science teacher to make this an integrated task.
- If available, use local flora and insects (living and preserved, respectively).
