The OPEN Clearinghouse consists of an HP-9000 K-Class Enterprise Server, two Sun Ultra workstations, and two Intel-based UNIX workstations placed strategically within the OPEN framework to provide maximum reliability and throughput. In addition, a portable version of the site is being developed for demonstrations and to reach communities unable to connect to the network.
