Ideas/Content Organization
The speech is characterized by identifiable main ideas supported by details and clear content appropriate to audience and purpose. The speech is organized through use of an introduction, transitions, details and a conclusion.
Language Delivery
The speech is characterized by functional language appropriate to audience and purpose which conveys the intended message and demonstrates correct grammar and usage. The speech is characterized by controlled technique, eye contact, clear enunciation, correct pronunciation, fluent delivery, appropriate use of facial expressions, hand gestures and other nonverbal movements.


The following traits are required to meet the standards on classroom work samples.
