Welcome to Just In Time Training. You've gotten here, which means you're well on your way to becoming a proficient Web user, even if you were pointed here by someone else!

Note: There is absolutely no way to give a reliable click-by-click set of instructions to navigating the World Wide Web, even on our own site. Everything is customizable from your computer. When in doubt, read the content, think through the process, look at the bottom of your screen to see if there is any information on the "status bar" like the address of a link, and take your best guess.

These navigational aids will help you get around the JITT site efficiently:

Main Headings: The pictures at the top of each JITT page will take you to the site's main topics. Clicking "On the Web," for example, will take you to the "On the Web" section, where you entered this Quick Start Introduction.

Blue Bullets: Clicking on the blue bullets will take you to another page on the JITT or OPEN site. Blue bullets are always followed by the topic they will take you to. You can also click on the topic name, which usually appears underlined and in blue if you've never clicked on it before. Once you've gone to a topic, it will normally appear in purple.

Red Arrows: Red arrows pointing down will take you to a spot further down on the same page. Red arrows pointing up will take you to the top of the page you are on.

Links Off Site: Links that look like the following will take you off site to a completely different method of organization unless the address begins with www.open.k12.or.us/jitt. You will need to use the Back feature of your browser to return to the Just In Time Training site.

Name of the Site

Description of the content of the site and the site's address. Please notice this sample entry does not take you anywhere meaningful.

Both the name of the site and the site's address should take you to exactly the same location.

Bottom Links: At the bottom of each page you will find buttons that allow you to go straight to the main OPEN Clearinghouse page, look at the big picture (JITT site map), get a little additional help, search the site, or send us your feedback.
