Collect information by using the citation worksheet: Worksheet (PDF) Look at the title page to find information for a book: Title Page (PDF) On a new paper, type or write your information. Or, use the OPEN Clearinghouse Citation Maker. Put information in alphabetical order by the first line of each entry. If the first word is "a," "an," or "the," alphabetize by the next word. Indent after the first line of each entry (use "hanging indent" setting in a word processor). Leave a blank line between each entry.
