Quit (without saving)
Start Over Choosing this option will delete any information in the file created as you enter and save bibliography references. Use this feature only if you want to start a new session. Show My Citations At any time during your session, you can choose Show My Citations to display a list of all of the bibliography references you have entered. From the Show My Citations page, there are two ways you can save your work. Help This page. Choose Help for answers to questions you may have about using Citation Maker. Quit (without saving) Choose Quit when you are done. This option will return you to the Citation Maker index page. How to use Citation Maker |
| Step 1 - Select the radio button on the left for the kind of source you want. A form will be displayed on the right where you can enter your bibliography information. Type your source information in the spaces provided. Capitalize names, titles, and months. |

| Step 2 - Review the information you entered, make corrections if you need to, and then choose Save Citation. This will save your work to a temporary file and clear data from the text boxes. At any time, you can check your citations by choosing Show My Citations. |

Note: After you've submitted a citation, you can't change it (unless you do that later in a word-processing file). Be sure to review each citation BEFORE you save it. Step 3 - Select another type of reference using the radio buttons on the left. Follow the steps above to continue adding to your temporary file. When you've finished entering your last citation, it's time to save your work to a word-processing file.

Step 2 - After you've chosen Save To Rich Text File Format, the window is redisplayed with a Save Citations To Your Local Drive link at the bottom. Place your cursor on the underlined link and select it. This brings up a File Download/Save As dialog so that you can decide where to save the file and what to name it.

| Note: We've included screen shots of several combinations of computer and browser (below), should you need assistance in writing the file to your computer. Choose the one that most closely resembles your computer/web browser combination. The filename will be long. Before clicking Save, be sure to give it a name that you will remember. |

| Renaming the File The original filename will be long and rather obscure. Before clicking Save, be sure to give it a name that you will remember. On the Windows platform, the filename should have '.rtf' added to the end. Be sure that it stays there so that your word processor will recognize it as a Rich Text Format file. On the Macintosh, this is not added, and should not be needed, unless you plan on sharing the file with a Windows computer. ![]() |
