** Note: Due to budget constraints, testing at Benchmark 2 and Benchmark 3 will only be offered during the winter testing window.
Districts who are interested in local administration and scoring of Benchmark 1 Writing may access secure materials on ODE's password-protected Website.
Beginning in the 2003-2004 school year, Reading Knowledge and Skills tests will be available for students in grades 4,6, and 7. This is an optional test for school districts to utilize. The option will be available through TESA or paper/pencil testing. Individual scale scores will be reported, however will not count for accountability purposes until 2005-2006. Performance standards for theses tests will not b established until the 2004-2005 school year.
If the student is receiving instruction to the CIM Benchmark level, the student may complete appropriate work samples and state tests to the CIM Benchmark.
Districts may request to have schools participate in knowledge and skills testing in the area of Social Science at grades 5, 8, and 10. Schools, through the School District Test Coordinator, must request test materials if they would like students to participate in the Spring testing window.
Since many current 12th grade students are no longer enrolled in mathematics courses where additional instruction in verification would occur, the dimension of verification will not be counted for these students.
Refer to the Science Performance Standards for information on which dimensions must be reported.
